Understand the policy, the loss and the reason for refusal
An insurance dispute requires more than the name of the policy. The insuring terms, schedule, endorsements, exclusions and claim history should be read together. The review must establish who is insured, the relevant period, the nature of the loss and the contractual basis on which cover is accepted or disputed.
Property damage, commercial losses and employer-liability claims may raise different questions of evidence and causation. Business interruption, for example, depends on the cover actually agreed and its conditions; a loss of revenue alone does not establish an insured claim.
How the firm can assist
Hyam El Hachem Law Firm can analyse the insurer’s position, organise the claim evidence and prepare a reasoned complaint or settlement proposal. The engagement is legal advisory work: any technical loss assessment can be addressed with the appropriate specialist.
- Policy interpretation, notification requirements, exclusions and disputed coverage.
- Claim documentation, delay, valuation and the terms of a proposed discharge.
- Insurer complaints, Sanadak eligibility and the applicable committee or court process.
- Complete policy, schedule, endorsements and relevant renewal documents.
- Claim form, evidence of loss and the insurer’s written response.
- A chronology of notifications, complaints, payments and settlement offers.
An initial outline is enough. Detailed records can follow through a process agreed with the firm.
Questions clients often ask
Can a rejected insurance claim be challenged?
The rejection should be assessed against the policy and supporting evidence. A reasoned complaint to the insurer is generally the starting point; further steps depend on the nature of the dispute and the applicable complaint requirements.
Can every insurance dispute be submitted to Sanadak?
No. Eligibility depends on matters including the complainant, the insurer, the prior complaint and any existing proceedings. The correct route, including any required insurance dispute committee process, should be checked before commencing a court claim.
